Corner Capture Support

日本語

Corner Capture (角取り) is a single-player board game: move stones diagonally to capture your opponent's stones. The computer opponent runs on your device. The app's interface is in Japanese; this English page explains its controls.

How to play

Move one of your stones one square diagonally to an empty square. Capture the opponent's stones on either or both of the other two corners of that 2×2 square. A move must capture at least one stone. The side with no legal capturing move loses; the number of stones does not decide the winner.

Open “対局メニュー” (game menu) → “新しい対局” (new game) to choose your side and difficulty: “やさしい” (easy), “ふつう” (normal), or “じっくり” (deeper search). There is no human-versus-human mode.

Choosing and confirming a move

A stone cannot move if it has no destination that captures an opponent's stone. Use marked stones, ringed destinations, or “合法手一覧” (legal moves). Selecting a destination previews the move. Tap “この手を確定” to confirm or “取り消す” to cancel the preview.

Resuming a game

Only confirmed moves are saved automatically. Unconfirmed previews are not saved. If a save-failure message appears, export your game record before closing the app.

Keeping a game record

Open “対局メニュー” → “ここまでの棋譜” → “棋譜を書き出す” to export the game as JSON text through the system share sheet. Importing a record into the app is not supported.

A new game or rematch replaces the current record. Export anything you want to keep first. A rematch keeps the difficulty and swaps sides.

Deleting or reinstalling

Deleting the app deletes local games. Export records first. If a save cannot be read, the app protects the original file. If that copy cannot be made, it will not start a new game. Contact support before deleting a game you need to keep.
